Candy Caine's tribute to the power of love are showcased in two of her most evocative stories...

Never is Not Forever
Claudia Brown has the perfect life, full of all the trappings of success. She has put herself through school and has worked hard to become the youngest English department chairperson at a prestigious ivy-league university. One trap she swears to avoid is marriage—a sure-fire way to constrain her career. Besides, she likes playing the field. But when Claudia realizes her biological clock is a ticking time bomb, she decides to have a baby—minus the attachment of the father. After a meticulous search she finds the perfect Robert Sterling, a smart, sexy, fellow professor. But she doesn’t factor in the one thing that can derail her entire campaign—falling in love with the sperm donor!

Forever Yours
When Jade Green meets successful trial lawyer, Charles Trotter, she finds herself relaxing in the warmth of his smiles and his off-beat humor. Best of all, even though he is a blue-eyed hunk, she thinks of him only as a great guy to hang with—no drama, no intimacy, no possibility of shattered dreams. And wonder of wonders, he seems to feel exactly the same way!
When Charles Totter meets Jade Green, he thinks she is a walking wet dream. As he gets to know her better, he finds he also enjoys her company and her quirky sense of humor. Now if he can only find a way to get her into his bed!

With nearly 200 short stories, several novels and novellas in print, hot and spicy, Candy Caine keeps her husband, Robert, on his toes in their Long Island, NY home. Supportive with her writing career, he’s always willing to help her make certain the scenes in her stories are authentic. After all, technique is so important for good writing. When asked why she began to write, Candy says: “I’ve always loved books and my biggest thrill is to bring the joy of reading to others. That’s what writing is all about.” Candy is the alter ego of Candace Gold. While Candace usually writes the less erotic books, Candy is the one who writes the erotica and does her best to curl poor Candace’s hair.

"No Strings Attached" is a compilation of two stories. I received a copy from the author for an honest review.

"Never is Not Forever' - this tells us the story of Claudia, looking to be a mom but not a wife and Robert, her wish for the sperm donor. Overall, I liked Claudia. However, I didn't necessarily agree with some of her choices and decisions. Keeping secrets is not a great way for a relationship to develop, especially the doozy she kept. On the same token, I sort of understood her reasoning. Robert was terrific. He was always the perfect gentleman and I loved the way he loved her. His handling of the secret reveal was impressive and Wow! What a guy! This is a pretty fast read and was quite enjoyable.

"Forever Yours" - tells Jade and Charles' story. This had a different feel than Never is Not Forever but was still a fast and enjoyable read. Again, there were some parts that didn't sit too well with me, but thinking back, it only added to the depth of the story and was a necessity, I think. I liked Jade and I liked Charles. It took me a bit longer to get into this story, but once I did, I was caught! Ms. Caine has written two enjoyable, fast reads that I would recommend to anyone that enjoys contemporary romances.

The title of this book caught my attention first. People looking for a relationship without the strings of commitment. This lead me to believe that things were going to be very sexually centered. It wasn't as many sex scenes as I expected, there was more story development than I anticipated. Never Is Not Forever starts off with one hot scene but it quickly moves to the Claudia's off beat idea which I had a hard time accepting. I kept hoping Robert would find out what was going on and would make her change her mind. Not saying if I was right or not, you'll need to read it for yourself.

There was cheating in Forever Yours, which is usually a topic that turns me off in a book. However, given the circumstances, the cheating didn't bother me in this book. I kept hoping for everyone to get the HEA they deserve.

These books are written in third person POV. I had a little trouble connecting to the characters, but it did eventually happen.

Never is Not Forever

Claudia was the English teacher with a master plan and porr execution. I was all for wanting a great father donor but to get as deep into it as she did and NOT tell Robert, WOW. As I was reading I was waiting for the shoe to drop and boy did it ever. I give Robert credit because he handled it like a gentleman and took all matters in his own hands.

Good quick read with sex, secrets, and trauma.

Forever Yours
I have a hard time reading a book where someone is married and is cheating but this story was oddly different. Jade was dealt a hell of a hand not only from her family but from Charles wife as well. I do not think I would have been able to control myself if I were either of them. That chick would have been choked a ling time ago.

This was a nice love story but some parts could have been different.

Two wonderful short stories in this book.

Although both share the same premise- NO STRINGS ATTACHED, no relationships, therefore, no hurt- these stories explore the feelings and outcomes of throwing away the no strings rule and falling in love.

Both stories are a poignant reminder of the obstacles we sometimes have to face in order to fight for True Love. These independent women want to stand on their own two feet. Both have inner strength but very different financial circumstances. Moving on and dealing with the consequences of a love affair can take different paths. The issue at heart is discovering what is a priority and standing firm.

Poignant and gripping, both stories are great reads!

I really like both of the stories in this book. I laughed and my heart broke. I can understand why close our hearts from love. It's not easy after you have been hurt. Compassion, forgiveness are two things in this story, besides trust and honesty. Actions and words can up lift you or bring you down. Sad to say it's something that happens in real life not only in stories. I'm looking forward to reading more books by candy caine.
