She is Shiklah, undisputed Queen of the Monster Metropolis below Manhattan! In the world that was, she married Deadpool, the Merc with the Mouth...but nothing on Battleworld is quite as it was. Now, she commands the Howling Commandos: Werewolf By Night! Frankenstein's Monster! The Living Mummy! Man-Thing! And Marcus the Centaur! What would her late husband think of that?
As I've recently learned with Wedding of Deadpool, Shiklah has a thing for our merc with a mouth bud. I already love Deadpool- who doesn't- and figured I'd read everything with the Deadpool name on it, because why not.
So onto the actual comic! Shiklah has a thing for Wade and it's beautiful, except for the fact that she's also sort of dating Dracula. Insert some Scott Pilgrim stuff were new boyfriend must fight old. Anyway things happen and Dracula insists that he and Shiklah must be married. I don't know much about our sweet Mrs. Deapool yet, but I don't get the feeling she likes being told what to do. To buy herself time, Shiklah plans to journey into hell to spread the ashes of her brothers or something. It's bad luck if you don't do this (bad luck being cursed for etenity), or at least that's what we're going with. Being cursed for eternity would suck if you're Dracula, so of course the dude eventually gives the reluctant thumbs up and tells her to be quick about it. Oh, and we get to meet the Howling Commandos which are Werewolf by Night, the Living Mummy, Frankenstein, Man Thing, and Marcus the Minotaur (with a symbiote of course). They apparently work for Dracula and are sent with Shiklah into hell.
Did I meantion that Deadpool narrates? Deadpool narrates, and it's glorious.
I'll be keeping up with this series, and hope it gets a long run.

I had high expectations for this, but it was ultimately a letdown. It was so confusing. I had no idea what the heck was going on. Hopefully issue two is better.
I can never resist a Deadpool comic. Make it a "Mrs." and you've got me hooked. I hope this runs a long time, because it's got serious potential. I mean, hello, there's a MUMMY! There's Dracula!
This is hilarious with Deadpool basically integrated to give it an excuse to be ridiculous. I hope this story keeps on this track because I was happy with it from first page to last.
