Alex provides a brief overview of the Pi in this book, which may be just what the reader needs, but I found myself wanting more in terms of what this device can do that can't be more easily accomplished using other devices. I know there are tons of project ideas out there for the Pi, and I think that might be a good way to baptize the reader into its benefits. More focus should be placed on the Pi's GPIO, expansion boards and accessories that are designed to add more capabilities to the Pi.
Finally, I'm fairly tolerant of poor English and grammar, especially if English is not the author's primary language. I was able to decipher the meanings, but it would be a good idea to have an editor read through and correct these mistakes before they're published.
I do appreciate many of the insights and suggested sites to explore that have been shared in this book.
