This collection of five short, science fiction stories is a nice quick read. All these stories take place above the Karman Line, the barrier between Earth's atmosphere and space.
Astrotrash by Fred Adams, Jr: A nice easy read that follows one of the unsung heroes of the Alpha Nine Space Terminal. Tony Galuzzo, aka Trash, is part of the station's garbage disposal service, a trash transporter who's job it is to remove the station's unwanted and unsalvegable waste, and dump it on celestial landfills. Some days it's not an easy job.
Evaline Ascendent by Timothy Bateson: Evaline is the shipboard computer on the Miranda Two, a colony ship destined for the planet Karman-III-Delta. She is possibly Earth's last hope of establishing a working off-world colony. However, her predecessor stopped reporting home, so now she and the colonists must establish what happened to the previous colony.
Roam by Joseph Castellano : Follow the story of Captain Barron as he engages in a series of short adventures. Does he have a plan? Can he keep getting himself out of trouble? What is his goal in all this? This piece reads like one of the old radio serials, and never fails to deliver a twist.
Sector Three-Three by I.E. Castellano : Vace Fantam is one of the personal monitoring the kreel pump for Sector Three-Three. Some days her job is less boring than others, but why is someone of her reputation even working a job like this?
The Demon on the Mountain by Larry Ivokvich : Afflicted with the wasting sickness Maya has taken to the mountains above her communa to life out the last days of her life. Her one wish for her Death-Vigil, to see one of the Sky Demons may yet come true. But if it does, what does that mean for her and those she loves?
