Didn't live up to my expectations. I couldn't care less about LESS. You do not need LESS to make a responsive bootstrap website. When learning bootstrap you should focus on bootstrap and have a basic understanding of HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript. Period. The books wastes too much space on LESS. The information in the chapters on bootstrap CSS and components is also available on the bootstrap website. As I only have basic knowledge of jQuery I had to look certain things to verify them and contrary to what the book claims you don't need the data-toggle attribute for ToolTips and PopUps. I know a bit more about what you can do with bootstrap now, but they should have spend more time on the grid system and other features and a lot less on LESS.
As a someone who is new to bootstrap and web dev as a whole, I find this book to be very useful. The examples and methods provided by the author are very easy to understand. Basically if you are new to bootstrap then this book is a good way to start.
More of a manual than a learning guide, most of the information covered is available on the Bootstrap website. Overly verbose examples just reiterate the code rather than explain why to do something a certain way.
