There was just something about this book that really drew me in and I couldn't stop looking at this gorgeous front cover image and wondering what on earth this title was.
Now, I'm not going to lie when I say that this book did scare me a little when I spotted that it was a chunky one.
At around 500 pages, this is definitely a book that I'd normally shy away from - but I was just so intrigued that I pretty easily succumbed - and how glad I was too!
This was such a wonderful story of love through the ages, love that spans lifetimes and love that was written in destiny.
I loved that this is written over a dual timeline so I didn't ever feel too bogged down by the historical elements of this fantasy.
Plus I was already completely smitten by the characters and just so immersed in their story that I just flew through this.
Setting this in a modern day London meant that we instantly connected with the main characters and the intensity of their interactions and Ellie's dreams and memories.
This was so beautifully written that I was just swept along.
The time jumps flowed perfectly and the different storylines wove around each other making this easy to follow and grasp the concept easily.
This book does form the first book in the Thread trilogy and I'm completely hooked.
After worrying about it's size at the start, I reached the end, wishing for even more and I cannot wait to see how the story continues into book 2.
With a lyrical writing style, 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐑𝐮𝐛𝐲 tells a love story that spans through lifetimes. A very unique tale I had the best time immersing myself into while slowly falling in love with the characters. I couldn't stop reading this enchanting romance, and I already cannot wait for the next book in this new trilogy!
It was a deeply meaningful read, I loved that it had dual timelines from contemporary university life in London to 19th century Greece. The magnetic connection between the main characters were unforgettable.
I highly recommend reading this beautiful novel to everyone!
Thank you so much @hyggebooktours and the author for letting me read and review this wonderful debut novel in exchange for my honest review!
I enjoyed this book so much. It is so different than what I would normally read, but I am glad I took a chance on it because it did not disappoint. The whole book was written beautifully, and is easily read. One thing I liked about this is its dual timelines and following the love stories between two sets of characters. And the spice and romance just blended beautifully and enhanced this story.
