Some powers are a blessing. Others can tear you apart.

Life beyond Evergreen was never meant to be easy, but Rose hadn’t expected to spend it hunted by the Magic Council, stalked by the Beorn, and pursued by the father who craves her power.

On the run and haunted by the loss of her sister, Rose must come to terms with a truth she can no longer she is the Fifth Element. Yet accepting her role is far easier than mastering the dangerous magic now surging within her and the guilt that threatens to unravel her from the inside.

When Nathan, a kind-eyed resistance fighter, offers his help, Rose faces a new test. Trust was never simple, but with enemies tightening their grip and her past breaking through in fragments of memory, she cannot stand alone forever. To survive, she must learn to wield her fear as fiercely as her gift, before both her enemies and her doubts destroy her.

AN ELEMENT BEYOND is the second book in An Element Of Magic. In this powerful sequel, Fran Fullerton delivers a story of resilience, destiny, and the courage to rise beyond grief.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of An Element Beyond. Fran Fullerton is quickly becoming a new favorite author and I can't wait to see what else she comes out with. There are slight spoilers in this review but nothing that gives too much away.

After reading An Element of Magic I couldn't wait to find out what happens to Rose. Finding out your dad is the real bad guy of the world must really screw with your already fragile mind. The psychological torture that Rose goes through in this book though was so well written I actually started to believe part of the chapter. Rose is such a great female main character that goes through so much growth but also failure just like in real life. She becomes relatable easily and you root for her the whole way through. My only complaint is that I have to wait for the third book to come out.

Thank you A.P. Beswick Publications for the ARC copy.

First comes war, then comes resilience, then comes Nathan with the kind eyes 😍 poor Rose cannot catch a break! I mean losing your sister, hunted by your father, finding out you're the Fifth Element! And this is only things I can mention without spoilers.
Fran Fullerton once again builds a magnificent world, so detailed, so impressive and so different from other magic worlds.

I couldn't wait to hear more of the stories of the characters that Fran created in Book 1, and boy did she deliver!
An incredible follow up, which was difficult to put down. Such an incredibly written main character who is thrown into all kinda of unimaginable situations. It's as much about how she reacts and deals with situations as the situations themselves.
Please give this a read, you will not be disappointed!!!
