He’s too young. Too intense. Too much like the life she’s trying to outrun. Ashionye, a seasoned gallery manager, meets Leo, a younger, brooding artist, while scouting fresh talent for Bibi Art Gallery. Neither expects their worlds to collide in a way that feels both electric and terrifying. But as Ashionye grapples with her father’s reputation as a man notorious for chasing younger women, she questions whether her growing feelings for Leo are a reflection of her own fears—or a path to something real.

When I picked up this book, I was expecting full-blown romance… but I got the entire package that came with it: chaos, art, healing and I absolutely loved it.

Leo was a character I knew I was going to be invested in. There’s something about a man who tries to hold himself together but completely unravels when it comes to the person he loves. I loved how deeply he connects with art, but I didn’t like that he sometimes allowed himself to be trampled on that part didn’t sit well with me.

Ash is bossy, tough, business-driven, and all about professionalism on the surface. But underneath, she’s soft, scared, and shaped by years of trying to fit into other people’s expectations. I love a woman with ambition, but what annoyed me was how long she stayed trapped in other people’s opinions. Watching her break out of that shell was both soothing and powerful.

And Violet? She really pissed me off.

What truly elevated this story for me was the ending. It’s not just about love and romance it’s about courage. Ash walking away from her father after discovering his flaws, choosing to build something of her own from scratch, was such a defining moment. Her mother leaving that toxic marriage and starting afresh added another layer of strength and realism. Leo too, came from a place of manipulation, yet still found the strength to walk away and choose something healthier.

Overall, this is a slow-burn romance wrapped in chaos, self-discovery, and breaking free from toxic environments. It’s about finding your voice, choosing yourself, and having the courage to start again even when it’s hard.

I have read books from Camaa Pearl and actually liked them so i wasn’t expecting anything less from her this time and she delivered as always. In a world where it’s so hard to get a partner who actually sees you for who you are, it’s nice having a partner who doesn’t only see you but puts you first. Despite their history with dating, I’m glad Ash and Leo made something beautiful for themselves. This book goes on to tell us no matter the age/time/ circumstances, you can build something for yourself — Ash and her mother. Ash could have stayed despite everything she uncovered but decided not to and actually went ahead to prove she could fly without her father. Ash’s mother finally leaving her husband shows real bravery and goes on to say that despite everything, make sure you choose yourself. Leo never leaving Ash’s side during the darkest point in their lives as a couple is nothing but the purest of love.
In all, i would say this book was wonderfully written and it is a good read. Grab a copy and enjoy when it’s out

Implication is such a beautiful read and someone that is a fan of the author Camaa pearl I didn’t expect nothing less. My first thought of the book is that it’s going to be a full romance book between the older woman Ash and the younger man Leo,There is romance in the book and a lot of it but the book thought me how to put myself first and to believe in my dreams and don’t stay building other people’s dreams like how Ash abandoned her dreams to build her father’s legacy and there is the talented artist Leo ,Mr lover boyyy 😩 He portrayed that although he is younger he could handle ash. Implication portrayed healing, slow burn romance, late bloom and believing in one’s talent and giving it your all!!
It’s such a beautiful read and I really can’t wait till it comes out and everyone gets to read this book.
Well done our author Camaa pearl👏

I LOVE every part of this book. I think it's safe to say Ash and Leo "grew" together in love. They both had parts of their life that needed growth and change and it was beautiful to see this growth while they held on to each other.
I also love how the reality of them being in a relationship was explored and how they navigated it. It was beautiful to see Leo come into a more confident and sure part of himself while Ash also broke her father's hold on her and choose her own path.
This is a great ROMANCE book with angst and actual yearning!!!
10/10 across boards!!!
