This is a solid reference on how to use your Canon EOS 40D. Besides the usual, it helped me learn about the custom functions in order to set the camera to my liking. I wish there was more information on using the camera with the Canon Speedlites, but I suppose that would be better left to a lighting-specific book. Overall, a good book that I can turn to whenever I need a refresher on a specific camera setting.
This is a great camera and I've enjoyed it for more than a year. This book answers many questions on properly setting functions for the effects you are seeking. I love the versitility of shooting black/white with filters. This is a great book for anyone interested in shooting with a Canon EOS and not just a point and shoot digital camera.
