Rate this book
A sailor. A governess. A rich lord. Will their love for each other blossom only to die?

Lisa has divorced Jonathan for her new love, Casper, but Casper poses as Carlisle Turberville one last time, and through a fateful encounter, meets up with Jonathan, falling in love with him. A heartbroken Jonathan, while still trying to get over Lisa, lets the strange and charming Carlisle into his heart.
Upon finding out that Carlisle is Casper, and that Casper is the man who Lisa left him for, Jonathan melts down. Casper and Lisa, while playing the part of couple in love, both admit to each other that despite it all, they both still love Jonathan deeply.

The three paramours gravitate towards a dangerous love that might leave them burned—but do their passions burn hotter still?

A steamy union of Jane Eyre and The Voyage Out, watch Casper, Lisa, and Jonathan navigate their passion for each other amidst the turmoil of their daily lives as rich lord, newcomer into upper society, and menial worker.

I was fortunate enough to read an advanced copy of this book. What a lovely ending to this story. As with the first book, this richly layered historical romance is beautifully written. The dynamic between Casper, Lisa, and Jonathan is both tender and tempestuous, pulling readers into an emotional whirlwind. Their happy ending is hard earned. The historical backdrop adds depth and richness to their story, with class divides, societal expectations, and a vivid setting. It's a great read for anybody who likes historical romance or LGBTQIA+ romance.

First and foremost thank you to the author for the Arc. It was well worth the wait for part two. I couldn't wait to dive back into the lives of our three leads. The story was well written and had some amazing twists and turns that I didn't see coming. While some spicy scenes weren't for me I truly appreciated the love story and historical fiction. I found the end fitting for all and this is a great read for anyone interested in history, romance and lgbqtia+
