Three erotic novelettes to ignite your passions and excite your senses.
Paycheck: Three Fridays ago, Zack forgot to pick up his check before leaving work. There was a reason for his stupor, but now that he's piecing together two part-time jobs to pay the rent, he can't make that mistake again. When he forgot his check a few weeks ago, he did so after his boss presented him with an opportunity—one Zack couldn't resist. And now, it's turned into a weekly ritual during which Zack has to plead for a paycheck being held hostage.
Four Little Words: When Wally heads out to grab a cup of coffee, he has no idea what's in store for him. Before ordering, he pops into the bathroom to relieve himself. When a hot stranger pulls up to the urinal next to him, Wally can't help but take a peek at what he's packing—it's habit. The stranger is sexy but rough, and Wally assumes he's straight. But when the stranger locks the door, trapping Wally inside while he washes his hands, he quickly finds out his assumption is wrong. CW: Contains homophobic slurs used in roleplay.
Everything That Made Him Up: The pull of nostalgia leads Dec back to his hometown for an alumni banquet honoring the cross-country team he was on in high school. A boy who has occupied space in Dec's mind ever since a quiet encounter on the team van ten years ago is back Mason Ford. The only motel in town is booked up, so after a rowdy reception, Dec reluctantly agrees to let Mase crash in his room. When Dec wakes up to find Mase cuddling him in the bed, he starts to wonder if maybe he hadn't imagined that encounter on the van all those years ago.
Vance spent his childhood in rural Indiana, surrounded by cornfields and cow pastures, dreaming of fantastical worlds much different than the one he knew. Bustling urban playgrounds of light and sound captured his interest, so he conjured those worlds through art, music, and the written word, until he was old enough to venture out and meet them head-on. He drifted from city to city in search of those worlds, working in various fields to pay the bills, eventually settling in Atlanta long enough to start a dog walking service. It was there that he rediscovered his love of writing, and decided to pursue it with his whole heart.
He currently resides in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia with his husband and their family of fur kids, dreaming up characters who capture his heart while traveling the world to feed his soul, visiting locales that will one day serve as backdrops for his whimsical tales.
Hot damn, these three erotic novelettes were something else! The spice was spicing, the steam level was through the roof, and I had to fan myself during each story. 🔥🥵🪭
In this short collection, you will get workplace encounters between a boss and his assistant, a bathroom hookup between strangers, and a rekindled connection between two boys who’ve returned to their small town for a reunion.
My favorite story was Everything That Made Him Up, which focused on the rekindled friendship between Dec and Mase. As hot as their motel encounter was, I also loved seeing their friendship blossom into something more intimate. There was a lot of passion and heart sparking between them that I absolutely devoured. I’m really excited for their full-length story, which is set to release on September 30th! I’ve grabbed my pre-order and am ready to dive in!
Author Vance Anthony sure knows how to tell fun, steamy stories that are equally sexy, passionate, and entertaining. I will surely be reading the first View From the Bottom collection soon!
'Mase satisfied something deep within my core, something I’d never felt before with anyone. Something latent but necessary. Foregone but desired. Something like discovery. Like reunion.'
I enjoyed this collection. Each story a vastly different type of encounter. But the last story- Everything That Made Him Up- was my favorite. I liked that theme best and how it played out between the protagonist, Dec, and Mase. That we see both their past and the present and the hesitancy and vulnerability there. 4 stars
I always enjoy a smutty short or two in between longer or emotionally heavy reads. Overall, I did prefer the first book of shorts by this author, but really liked this one too. I preferred the last two stories in the book. The second one was just downright hot - a total fantasy that could happen. The third one had a sweeter, nostalgic vibe that I also really enjoyed. These stories are well-written and fleshed out, though honestly I could have used a little less build up and more smut instead, lol. Definitely worth reading!!
Review for (View from the Bottom-2) A Bundle of Gay Erotic Shorts by Vance Anthony
This has three erotic novelettes. I loved them all. I loved the growth of the storyline of all these men. It hit on my heart, my mind, and the side of me that loves stories like this. What these men went through to get to their HEA was worth it in the end. I look forward to reading more by this author in the future.
Three erotic novelettes. A young employee put into a compromising position by his boss, but they both want it. Sexy and fun A man locked in a coffee shop bathroom by a sexy construction worker who caught him eying his junk at the urinal. Fantasy fulfilled A man who attends his class reunion in farmland, drink late and crashing in his motel room with an old track buddy who he has always wondered about. This one is slow to build but promises a future.
View from the Bottom Vol 2 is the second book in the series and each can be read as a standalone. This is a fun, sexy combination of stories that I really enjoyed reading.
