Using Functional Grammar: An Explorer's Guide

Rate this book
Standard introduction to Systemic Functional Linguistics. A tough read, but make use of the appendices to help you diagram sentences and really break down the text. Although the second edition is from 2000, and the examples are particular to Australian education system and culture, can be easily applied to North American education systems for ESL and FL instructors and linguists. A must read for many graduate courses.
