Design Time

This is a great book on learning how to design for 3D printing using a lot of different software applications.

I found it an excellent introduction to designing 3D models and how to prepare a model for printing.

Definitely worth the read if you are looking to getting into 3D printing - like myself!

Check it out!

Full Disclosure: I'm writing a book of Projects for 3D Printing.

The author delivers well on what the title promises: how to use Autodesk products to design, scan, edit, and print 3D things. It contains detailed, step-by-step instructions that walk you through what each tool does and exercises in how to use it to create a variety of things. A good introduction to Autodesk products.

The tutorials themselves are helpful, but not without their confusion. More of the frustration in the use of this book came from bugs in Autodesk's 123D Design software itself.
