What an interesting and very different type of story. I must admit I love paranormal almost as much as MC, military, mystery and others, but this is my first wholey time jump read. Loved Charmin, sarcastic, forthright and loving cat. Milo I really struggled with, for a so called 16 year old with the brains he has I would have thought he would not just be a bit more sensitive and understanding but more savvy of the danger he put all of them in. Levi and Dani had a lot of sympathy for, neither asked for the troubles or the pain and expense that Milo caused but both were empathetic to it all and each other. Exciting concept and vision while still delivering a story that is interesting and refreshing, that also has some angst, suspense and love, with a dose of humour thrown into the mix. Can't wait to dive straight into the next part, because yes this carries on. Started 30/11/21 Finished 1/12/21

Ok first name confusion, is she Dani or Lani? Is he Liev or Levi? And is Charmin Marvin or Charming? Because I'm confused on this. Author told me books were updated but some sites haven't updated covers or blurbs, so since this is beyond her control I bumped review up to the 5 stars.

Otherwise this continued to be interesting and intriguing, lots going on and betrayal amongst those that should be trusted. With this horrible council board chucked in for good measure. I do love the cat, whatever his name is, he is funny and dramatic, seems to be the cleverest of all of them but still loves cuddles and food. The h is picking stuff up fast though which is good and the H is supportive and caring. Even Milo (the only one whose name stays the same) improved in this part and actually stepped up a bit to help. The story continues with more intrigue and mystery, home invasions, bugs and massive computers that are almost virtual. The characters are growing closer than ever despite interruptions and danger from unknown sources. Charming is getting more clever by the minute and more sassy.. But it's Lani in the end who steps up.a few times in this book and starts to find her way in this futuristic world. Loving the twists and turns, the suspense and drama. Ok name thing sorted. Author updated this series but not all details in the blurbs have by the sites. Anyway this episode is all about trying to recreate Christmas, this time era has all holidays not just banned but every detail locked down, hidden and buried. Poor Lani struggles to find anything to organise a surprise for all and is getting increasingly disheartened. Charmin as usual is helpful but also not. I am enjoying this very futuristic series, it takes a bit to get your head around the concept of some details and way of life but fortunately I've watched a lot of S/F which helps. I do hope though they figure out how to stop people or bots breaking in and kidnapping, for 2 very brainy dark guys this is happening a bit to much. Still Lani is stronger willed and pushes to solve all the issues. Great characters and such an interesting plot concept. Compelling reading. Started and finished 3/12/21
