I received a complimentary e-copy of Crashing Prom by Milda Harris in exchange for an honest review.

Up til now, Avery's biggest regret in life is not asking her crush in high school to go to her senior prom and missing what was supposed to be a magical night of her life.

Avery is completely stunned when her Flynn, her fiance for a year, breaks up with her. His main reason? Because they never started planning their wedding.

In her defense, Avery has been working long hours at her PA job, while hoping to someday break into a writing role in Hollywood but she thought her relationship was in a good place. She can't help but wonder why he never brought his issue up with her instead of letting it fester inside. Meanwhile her niece in Chicago is having her own prom issues - her boyfriend is refusing to go to the prom. Avery tells her that she HAS to go to the prom or she'll regret it for the rest of her life and that even if boyfriend Nash doesn't come through, then she'll go to the prom with her.

To help get Avery through her post-breakup funk, her 3 best friends have come up with a plan. It involves a road-trip to Vegas and a few stops along the way to Chicago where prom night awaits. What they don't mention right away is that they are putting together a web-series, as they film all the stops and blind dates while they try to find Avery a prom date. During the trip, Avery learns a lot about herself, and starts to understand Flynn a little bit more and finally realizes that sometimes happiness is right in front of you, if you just keep your eyes open.

I loved this book. I felt so bad for Avery for getting blindsided by Flynn but she is so lucky to have such great friends, who were willing to put their own lives on hold for a week to help her out of the funk. They had so many laughs along the way, many of them at Avery's expense, but it all made for a once in a life experience. I don't want to give away the ending, but the story ending just like I'd hoped that it would!!

I received an advanced ARC copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

The story starts with Avery Rylee's fiancée breaking off their engagement to Avery's total surprise. She thought things were great and was totally blindsided when Flynn dumped her. After a long night of drinking away her misery Avery wakes up hung over and finds out she has agreed to convince her niece to go to her prom by going to it with her. Avery has always regretted not going to her prom and her friends decide it's just what she needs to get her life on track and get over her broken engagement. So she ends up on a road trip with her three best friends to make it to her nieces prom. Much to her shock and disbelief it ends up being filmed for a web series and all the craziness that follows is on the web for everyone to see.

I loved this book and really hope Milda Harris turns it into a series because I really want more of Avery and her friends. I laughed so hard and fell in love with these characters and their story. Please more!!

I received an ARC of Crashing Prom in exchange for an honest review. I am so happy that I volunteered to read this book because it was very entertaining. I would have no qualms about paying for a copy.
Crashing Prom is about the roller-coaster of a life that twenty-three year-old Avery is trying to manage. The beginning of the novel is set during Avery's last month of high school, in which, she has decided to gather enough courage to ask her crush to the prom. Upon hearing his intent is to ask another girl, Avery fears rejection and changes her mind about asking him and skips the prom altogether. The next chapter takes us six years into the future and Avery's love life is headed for a nose dive! Avery gets dumped by her fiance, and gets drunk. Her best friend Vivi plans a road trip that Avery will never forget. I do not want to spoil any of the plot details, but I will share that there will be several dates hot guys, strippers up close and personal, a camera crew and the crashing of a prom. You will not be disappointed with this purchase!

Take a break from your reality and head to...prom?!

What started out as an outrageous idea grew into a road trip of friendship beyond the norm. The well developed characters, the humor, the seemingly impossible way everything turned out made this a fast and fun read. I was tempted to get a map out and chart the trip because it seemed like I was keeping track of real friends!

Milda has a way of making you love her characters and care about them. She didn't disappoint in this book! I recommend it to the young of heart who may or may not have gone to their senior prom in high school! Some things are the same no matter where in the US you live, and prom dreams and expectations fit in that classification. You will be glad you read this and took a break from your daily reality!

Loved it...

This was a fun light read. The character development was great and the friendship between the women was spectacular. Barry's choice in the end...well I would love to see a series so we can see more of their HEA. Bring on Vivi's story!
