What if the system doesn’t just read your emotions— but rewrites your soul?Ashbourne was supposed to be free. The server destroyed. The danger gone. But Hailey Brooks knows better.
When a document surfaces exposing a horrifying expansion of Cog Sentinel’s control—one that will classify every human by emotional index and determine their right to exist—Hailey is thrust back into the war she thought was over.
Her sister, Grace, is already fading. Her mother… might have always been part of Cog Sentinel. And the system? It’s growing stronger.
The resistance is small. Fragmented. But they’re not giving up.
As new allies rise from the shadows, Hailey must lead a final fight to preserve what makes us love, fear, pain, laughter, truth.
Even if it costs her everything.
If the first book broke the silence—this one burns through it.
For fans of Black Mirror, The Handmaid’s Tale, and Atlas of the Heart — Cog Sentinel Part 2 is a gripping, emotional descent into what happens when control becomes law, and emotions become rebellion.
I absolutely loved this book. After binge-reading book one, I couldn’t wait to dive into book two—and it definitely did not disappoint. The direction this story took was unexpected, but it flowed seamlessly from the first book and added even more depth and intensity.
The writing is sharp and immersive, and the pacing kept me hooked from beginning to end. The characters are excellent—layered, flawed, and compelling—and I found myself unable to put the book down. This series is quickly becoming a favorite of mine, and I can’t wait to see what happens in book three.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Book Two was such a twister for me that I almost lost parts/pieces/passages of Book One while reading! Part Two is a mind-bender, and there were so many times I set myself up for an expectation, only to have Lars go the opposite way of predictability. You should definitely read Part One, or you'll be in a hazy mist in Book Two.
I absolutely loved this! Thank you for letting me read your book!
