Wow Hornet and Delfino’s story is non stop action from start to finish. Your head will spin as you try and keep up to all the plot lines running through their story. How their part in this convoluted story works out is a fabulous read. By the end you may have a lot more questions than answers but so worth the read! Can’t wait for Reaper!

Hang on for a wild ride!
In the world of spy vs. spy, can you ever really be sure who is on your side? Kima wrestles with this conundrum after learning that her long-dead stepfather is actually still alive. As she breaks all the rules to find out the truth, Hornet has to choose her over his own career in order to keep her safe.
This is one of the most twisty, surprise-filled books by this author. It's not until the very end that we finally figure out all the secrets and hidden loyalties. Along the way, we get a fast-paced, action-packed story that takes the reader all over eastern Europe, to fancy balls and secluded hideouts, complete with double-crosses and shoot-outs. Throughout it all we see Kima and Hornet gradually let go of their professional restraint and personal doubts to let their love story finally take shape.
I was captivated from start to finish, and I adored these characters. I remember Hornet and Delfino from the earlier books in the series, so it was especially gratifying to see them find their joyful HEA, despite Typhon's good-natured threats. Also, getting to know two new agents was a special treat and neatly sets up the next book in this series.
Every book in this series is a standalone romance, but together they create an amazing world of heroes and heroines fighting for justice and finding love along the way. Each new book is a welcome return to old friends and new, and I am positively addicted to them all. I reviewed an advance copy of this book.

I have to say, and if you've read my past reviews on books by Heather Slade, you would know I say this often if not every time, I love the way this author writes. Her books are ALWAYS top notch!
She is always spot on with details and technical terms. With this book and the ones previous in the series I have found myself checking the dictionary regarding some of the terms. I will admit I had to ask Siri how to pronounce Typhon's name (and yes, I was saying it correctly); and I looked up the translation for Delphino. The things one learns while reading!!!
Her characters are always well written. And with great detail (love love love descriptions!) From hair and eye color to their build (tall, short, slim, muscular, etc.) that is important to me as a reader because I need to create an image in my head, that goes for locations as well. And believe me, Ms. Slade nailed it when describing some of the many locations these agents were at.
The mystery surrounding this story had me all twisted up. In my head I was thinking this one or that one was the bad egg. Then I was proven wrong, then I thought it was another... and so on. I truly enjoy this story and the relationship between Hornet and Delfino. But I am seriously waiting for the next in this series.

This book will keep you on your toes!
Hornet, as a newly promoted member of Unit 23, an ultra secret unit, finds Delfino (Kima) has left Typhon’s flat who had taken her in when Jekyll, Delfino’s stepfather asked him to take care of her and her mother, and then disappeared. Typhon is now her guardian. Hornet is her bodyguard. Hornet knows why she left, to find her stepfather who she thought died eleven years ago is still alive and who was a double agent faked his own death. He and the team trace her and also trace Jekyll to Russia. He’s going to help her whether she likes it or not. When he finds her he’s going to tell her how he feels about her, and has for two years, because he knows how she feels about him, but doesn’t think he reciprocates her feelings. He finds her and they escape FSB Intelligent agents. After they get to a safe house he reveals his feelings for her. They are both agents. This mission goes deeper and deeper as they along, pulling in more agents to help. They need to unsolved a couple of mysteries as they go along. There’s a lot of action and suspense. Their love only grows as they along. At the end of their story, one big mystery is revealed. Now they have to finish that mission as another one arises. The mission will continue in the next book. Can’t wait for that.

There was so much action in this book I just couldn't keep up. We're in Russia, now we're in Greece, and off to another country. Delfino has gone rouge to try and find answers regarding her stepfather that she thought died 11 years ago. Hornet was supposed to protect her and knows that his boss Typhon may just kill him over allowing her to slip away. I mean seriously Typhon is scary.
Jekyll is like the mist, sort of floats in and is gone just before Delfino gets to where she thinks she will find him. Each time there's more questions than answers. Just when the team thinks they have a handle on what is going on, they are bounced off into a new direction.
It was nice to see a cameo appearance from the original founders of K19, Gunnar and Razor. Their books are well worth the read too if this book is where you start in the Heather Slade universe. I look forward to Reaper's book.

Hornet has always felt this tug and must protect her at all cost. When he comes to her room to talk, there’s silence. Just as if no one has even stepped foot inside. Where is she? He has to find her. One job, to keep her safe. He lost her. He finds a hint that she went to find her dead stepfather.
So many lies, so many clues, so close, and so far away. Who can we trust? Who can’t we trust? She wants to know but is afraid to find out the truth.
You will be surprised by the ending. It’s just what Heather ordered. Find a comfy spot to sit and be entranced by this book.

While Code Name Hornet is the 4th book in the K19 AIT 2 series, it really has only minimal connections to the other books in the series. The fast-paced, non-stop action centers around Delfino - who decides to go on a personal solo mission - and Hornet, who decides to follow her, orders be damned, because of his feelings for her. As their search for answers has them zigzaging across Eastern Europe, they call in favors from their respective teams, bringing in beloved characters from other series to help them survive. There is a happy ending for the couple, but the answers they find only lead to more questions, setting the stage perfectly for the next agent to go rogue in aid of his perfect match.

Quickly becoming one of my favorite authors, Heather has captivated me once again with the universe she is creating.
Code Name: Hornet brings you back to the world of Unit 23 and the intelligence agencies we know and love. We get introduced to Delfino and Hornet and get to see some favorites from past books.
The intensity of the action scenes make your heart race, and the love story brings you back down. I don't want to leave spoilers, but I will say I couldn't put this one down and would highly recommend it to anyone!
I was never big on this genre until hearing Heather's books and falling in love with each character. I look forward to the next code name, and I hope you all enjoy this masterpiece!

Another well written book by and author that not only entertains you but draws you into her world so the real world ceases to exist and isn't that a great thing at times
This is Delfino (Kima) and Hornets story he is newly joined to Unit 23 and is trying to prove himself and he has been tasked with guarding Kima but she has gone trying to track down the stepfather she thought died 11 years ago but who has now discovered is alive and a traitor. Hornet is determined to help her find him this leads them to Russia where he is determined to let her know that he reciprocates her feelings Can they solve the issues with her step father Can they build a future together all while racing to escape danger You will have to read to see

As always Heather Slade doesn't disappoint.
We met Hornet and Delfino in previous books in the series. Their story was worth the wait. As they finally stop fighting their feelings admid the race for answers neither one is sure where the search will lead them. I love with some of her newer series we travel around the world to so many different locations during the story. This books is filled with actiona nd a host of new characters and plots for the series as a whole. I am not a huge cliff hanger type of reader but this author does it in a way that you don't feel it eneded without answers. You feel like you can't wait for the next book to get more answers. If you haven't read anything and are on the fence start anywhere. You won't be disappointed.

Heather Slade has done it again. Buckle up as this one will take you for a ride of intrigue. When Delfino learns that Jekyll (her stepfather) is still alive and a traitor, it sends her in a tailspin. She leaves Typhon's while under Hornet's watch (he is not happy about that). Delfino goes on the hunt to find Jekyll and is searching for answers. When Hornet tracks her down and defies Typhon's orders that's when things get interesting. These two finally admit their feelings for each other than cue the angst and drama. The wild ride these two go on along with Typhon, Reaper and the rest of the gang to find Jekyll and the truth will keep you turning the pages until you get answers. You won't be able to put this one down.

Kima/Delfino and Devin/Hornet. They finally quit dancing around each other and acknowledged their relationship. Kima is on the hunt for her step dad who we learned in the last book was still alive. Now the question is friend or foe. Devin goes after Kima and acknowledges his feelings so he can be with her and help her. Typhon and others join the hunt and we see more of Reaper and a few new characters. The danger element is high and we see several violent interactions along with sweet moments and romance. The story did a good job of showing how the different groups and series could/would intersect. The ending was not surprising, but it was shred in a fun and entertaining dramatic manner.

Wow, this series just keeps getting better and better with each set of new characters. This one has Kima and Devin in a chase and fight for their life. They also bring along a bunch of old characters that I haven't seen in such a long time. It was awesome to get a small peek at them during this chapter. The way this story fell into place, we will be seeing them again. It's also how the next story is set up as well, our character, Reaper is up next. Can't wait. Back to these two characters, they were in synch when they were working together and it spilled over into their personal lives. They truly were "partners". This story definitely pulled at my heart-strings. Loved it.

I really enjoyed reading Hornet . This story is outstanding full of suspense and intrigue so action packed . Hornet has kept his feelings for Kima code name Delfino in check while they have worked together . While tasked to watch over her and protect her . She gives Hornet the slip and decided she must find her stepfather who had once been believed to be dead . Delfino needs to know if he's an enemy
or not . Hornet makes the choice to intercept Delfino and assist her against Typhon's orders . Hornet comes to Delfino's aid and as they work to get answers Hornet and Delfino's relationship developes and so does danger . I highly recommend taking the time to read .This story is spectacular .

Code Name: Hornet
OMG! What a totally mesmerizing story. This one is about Delfino and Hornet! What is interesting how these members of these coalitions go rogue when they feel like no one will help with their personal mission. This case is exactly what Delfino did to find her stepfather. There were definitely intense moments throughout this book. Loved that this couple finally came clean about how they felt towards each other. The last chapter was so totally unexpected that we now have to wait for the next book to find out what happens. Don't know if I can wait that long! FANTASTIC job Heather! I would highly recommend this book!

Another great story by Heather Slade! This book will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the story. The relationship has been building between Hornet and Delfino for a couple of years. Hornet has denied his feelings for too long until Delfino is in danger and disappears on a personal vendetta. Once Hornet locates Delfino they enter into a true partnership to find answers. The coalition must work together to find Jekyll, protect their own and bring down another human intelligence trafficking ring. A must read if you love spy stories with intrigue, corruption, love and loyalty.

Hornet has been watching Kima/Delfino as her bodyguard, she's close to Typhoon and has just found out that her stepfather isn't dead but very much alive! She's given Hornet the slip and now he's got to find her and keep her safe, a hard job.
Not only that but as Typhoon is her mentor and also Hornet's boss, he's trying very hard to fight his attraction to Kima! She's unsure about him.
They work together to get to the truth but the missions are getting more and more difficult.

Chasing the elusive Jekyll around Europe gives these two the time they need to fully explore their feelings despite the circumstances. They, along with an ever expanding team, try to discover if Jekyll is friend or foe and what he's involved in. It's definitely Spy Games 101 and he or someone is leading them a merry chase complete gun battles, kidnapping, Russian operatives, a possible mole and clandestine groups. Excellent reading.

This was an awesome book. Delfino and Hornet were an intriguing couple.
Finding out her stepfather was indeed alive, Kima aka Delfino teams up with Hornet to avenge the betrayal.
Fast paced, and action packed certainly a thrill ride of a book that grabbed on and didn't let go till the last word. These two had a connection built on a common goal. But their chemistry only enhanced the relationship.
So well done. I loved the book and didn't want it to end. Highly recommenced!

This book has done it again. Heather Slade has shown us that writing her books is her passion. Delfino and Hornet are the perfect team. Both professionally and personally. When things are not as they seem for Kima, Devin is there to help her along the way. Their truth is brought to life as their mission becomes more dangerous. They show a side that can be seen in the first few pages. Excellent writhing and character interactions! Love this book. Truely a great Read!

Facing the possibility of losing her makes him realize he cannot do that any longer. As they race around the world, working with his team and others, their love for each other grows stronger. There is a lot of action to go with all the emotion in this one, and as is expected from Heather Slade, a lot of mystery and intrigue as they search for answers. Another great story!!

"Code Name: Hornet" (K19 Allied Intelligence Team Two Book 4) by Heather Slade was a great read. I enjoyed Hornet and Delfino's story. This story had romance, passion, suspense, twists, friends, family, and more. This was a fantastic addition to this series. I can't wait to see what happens next. I highly recommend it to all fans of romance, suspense, and series.

If you like Action and Rollarcoaster rides then you will love this book. Hornet is in a super secrets unit and he is tasked to protect her. Typhoon is also in this book. There are so many twists but these twists keep you going where you must read and find out. There is a HEA and it is a standalone book. Great read!

Heather’s new book Code Name: Hornet has it all intrigue, mysterious reappearance of a dead man, a love hate relationship, and much more. Our hero and heroine Hornet (Devin) and Delfino (Kima) are on the hunt for Jekyll, who we all thought was dead from previous books and yes there is a very good reason Delfino is looking for him. There is so much activity going on we meet up with people from the coalition that was created in Heather’s earlier books as well as many other friends from K19 Security. You won’t be disappointed.

I absolutely loved Hornet (Devin) & Delfino's (Kima's) story. Thank you, Heather, for writing an intriguing and amazing story. The love they share building up over time, finding Jeykll, and getting the needed answers. I'm sitting on the edge of my seat. I can't wait for more.
