Really fascinating topic that is highly neglected in scholarship and Western understanding of Thai history. Sadly enough, the revised edition that I read has very little added value to existing works, as it is just a little description of what they did on each day, instead of helping us better understand the dynamics. Therefore, I believe the potential is much greater, and more work is needed. Also, the edition that I had, was extremely bad in terms of formatting, English, references, and general English, that it shows much more attention needs to be given to this book.
