As a dog owner, I deemed it necessary to read “First Aid for Dogs”. Once I started reading, I began to feel that I could care for my dog better than I already had. Schwartz uses a very informative tone throughout the book. This book touches on a wide spectrum on how to care for your dog’s injuries. These range from bone fractures, lacerations, and even drowning. It informs you as to how you carry your injured dog and how to use immediate first aid to slow down further harm. I believe this is very important to know because you can hurt your dog while trying to put it in your vehicle. This book also discusses how to care for every size dog, not just medium sized pooches. Every little detail give in this book is crucial to know for the well-being of your beloved dog. I really enjoyed reading this book because it is useful and necessary for me to know the things talked about. The only thing I believe should be added is more step-by-step pictures on how to help the dog in some of the situations discussed. I would recommend this informative book to any dog owners or future dog owners.
