When a car crash leaves her stranded in his cabin during a snowstorm, Maya discovers her fated mate is a grumpy shifter who's determined to never let her go.KaiI've been a lone wolf since leaving my pack, avoiding both Alphas vying for my loyalty in Shadow Wolf Creek. Then I catch her scent—sweet strawberries that drive my wolf wild. When Maya crashes her car during a snowstorm and ends up trapped in my cabin, every protective instinct I have roars to life. She's my fated mate, even if she doesn't realize it yet. The snowstorm gives me the perfect opportunity to claim her, but my grumpy nature and possessive tendencies might scare her away. As we're snowed in together, I struggle to control my dominant urges while showing her that beneath my rough exterior is a Beta who would do anything to keep her safe. Once the snow melts, I'll never let her go—my wolf and I are in complete agreement about that.
MayaI came to Shadow Wolf Creek hoping to find a fated mate, but I never expected to be trapped in a cabin with the most intimidating shifter I've ever met. Kai is grumpy, possessive, and absolutely irresistible. As the snowstorm keeps us isolated together, I discover there's more to him than his brooding exterior—there's loyalty, protection, and a devotion that makes my heart race. Each day spent in his cabin reveals another layer to this complex Beta wolf, from his painful past to his uncertain future. The mate bond growing between us feels right, but am I ready for the life that comes with being claimed by a grumpy shifter who seems determined to shelter me from the world? When the snow finally clears, I'll have to decide if I'm brave enough to stay with a man whose idea of love is both fierce and all-consuming.

Hello, readers! I rarely visit this space, but if you’d like to connect, you can find me on my blog or social media, where I’m most active. Thank you for your support, and happy reading!
This was a good low angst read. There isnt really much conflict but the story focused on Kai and Maya building their relationship. I would have liked to know more about what happened with Kai’s old pack - maybe a flashback. But overall nice, sweet and easy read. On another note- I feel bad for Marcus lol he cannot win with the women.
This book was good. I felt like the story was a little drawn out, a little bit longer than I would’ve liked, but they had good chemistry and once again the author gave you some backstory about shifters.
This is my favorite so far in the series. Kai and Maya’s story felt very fleshed out, and I really liked them. I also liked how they worked together.
I know Kai is supposed to be a grumpy shifter, but he didn’t come off as that way to me. He came off more as sweet yet temperamental than he did pissy.
I liked that Kai was anticipating Maya to put up a fight when she learned she was his fated mate, but Maya was just like “ok. What’s next?” 😂 Maya basically said “why would I fight this if this is what I want?” 😂 That interaction was cute. Matter of fact, all of Kai and Maya’s interactions were cute. (Well, the PG stuff was. I definitely wouldn’t use “cute” to describe their other interactions 😏)
Malik, Asher, and Jada from “Snowed in with a Rebel” make appearances, and we get to spend a little time with Asher and Jada. Tbh I feel like I learned more about Asher and Jada in this book than I did in theirs. Andy, Marcus and Stanley’s Diner also appear.
I’m not sure of how long after “Snowed in with a Rebel” this book takes place. Andy was acting like it had only been a few months and then at one point, it’s said to be a year but then we meet Elias and he’s two 🤷🏾♀️ I still liked “Snowed in with a Grumpy Shifter” though.
What a lovely story !!! And it takes place NOT in Wintermoon !!! Maya is from Detroit , but has heard of a place not too far away, where humans and shifters live together in peace. That's what she wants. A shifter that will love her. Working in a diner, in a small town , she goes to the local bar after her shift at the diner. As soon as she enters, the shifters there treat her in a very protective way. So, no drinking for her !!!
Kai is a lone wolf, who has left his pack. He is a Beta, an Alpha's 2 nd in command, and there are two Alphas here that want an experienced Beta. Kai just wants to be left alone. Until a chance encounter at the bar has him rethinking his life . I thought Maya , and Kai were very sweet together. And , even though I live Winter moon with its crazy cast of characters, I did truly enjoy this story of some other shifters in this world !!! Fantastic read !! And , honestly, I didn't think he was all that , " grumpy " !!! 😃😃😃
Enjoyed how fate always steps in right on time, Kai having felt the pull and his wolf slightly becoming a little agitated wanting searching for his other half brings him to the bar after work even knowing how tired he feels and wanting to just go home but going against it he goes into the bar looking for someone to get into. Mia ending her shift trying to escape the awkwardness she feels when a coworker again asks her out not wanting any issues since new to the community she explains and accepts the invitation but once she exits the work door looking across the street something is pulling her forward once inside all eyes are on her because as a shifter they recognize mates as well as.other things. After that first encounter things move faster as mother nature steps in and fate takes the.lead.
I believe this is the third book in a six-book, multi-author series. I started by reading the first book of the series, but it was horrible. Based on the blurbs, the books are standalone, only sharing that they happen within the same community. So I decided to skip to this book by Tessa Stone.
I have read other books by Ms. Stone and enjoyed them so I felt confident I would like this one. I was not disappointed. It’s a short story, less than 200 pages, but it is complete and engaging. There’s no outside threat, just two fated mates getting to know each other. The sex scenes are medium heat and well written.
Giiiirlllll these MCs said spice??? OKAY LETS TURN IT UP!🤭😂 I loved Kai and Maya so much! They were cute, stubborn, & everything each other needed! They matched each layer of each other & I found that so refreshing after reading another book from this series where the FMC drove me crazy😂 (I read this book not realizing that I skipped a story or two👀🤭😭) BUT nonetheless I loved the instant attraction & everything about this story!
This one was nice. Just a great low stakes shifter romance that I enjoyed. However, I found myself a little more invested in side character Marcus. This was his second appearance and like brotha just can’t seem to get a win in the love department. I need a story where he finds his person.
Another one bites the dust for Tessa Stone. She did it again! This was a good read, seems like the mate bond is a GPS indicator cause all of the mates are finding their person. Kai wasn’t so grumpy, just upset about pack business. Through the entire book he was just being a wolf and loving to Mya. But if any man steps to her, he was not playing bout her.
The way this book is written has me looking at the map for Shadow Creek! Tessa never misses and always understands the assignment. I love an insta-love kinda story as a palette cleanser and this was it. Fated Mates and Burly Shifters for the win!!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ It’s was a good little spicy paranormal romance story. There was low drama throughout the story but I wish the plot had more depth. Overall the spice was very well done. 💖
Tessa you’ve done it yet again!!!! It goes to show you with the right woman moods and lives can and will change…. Continue writing and I’ll continue reading!!! You’ve definitely got a true fan in me FOREVER!!!!!
Maya and Kai were loners and wanted to find their place in the world, Maya was happy she was fated to a shifter and accept Kai, she even pushed Kai to stop being a loner. She pushed him to join a pack so they can both belong to family. Glad they both got the happiness they had been longing for.
If you want a cute romance with a shifter man. That doesn't go wild with the drama, this one is for you. I love this couple of much ,Kai is gonna be my first grumpy book Boyfriends.just the right about of sweet to go with the sour he has going on
Loved Maya! I love a woman that knows what she wants and doesn't stand in her own way to happiness! Kai was alone and unhappy with some of decisions but one thing he did know was that Maya was his. I loved them! Great story!
So I enjoyed the story of Kai and Maya. I felt like they both lacked personalities but it was a cute story that dived deeper into pack dynamics more than a true plot.
I didn’t say anything about the stalking. But smashing a coffee pot next to me because you can’t deal with your big boy anger? Miss me with that, I can’t believe she then cleaned it up.
