Table by the Window

“Do you believe in that? Fate bringing people together?”

Avery, the gentle owner of a cozy coffee shop, forms a quiet bond with Kai, a regular customer and college student who visits every weekend. As they gradually get to know each other, unspoken emotions linger between them. But when Kai suddenly stops coming, Avery is left to uncover a bittersweet truth that forces him to confront the feelings they never shared. The story explores love, loss, and the power of missed connections.

I loved the writing. The author is clear and concise and the writing is easy to follow. It is a very short story and my only critique is that I wished it were longer and that there were more dialogue/chemistry between the characters. I loved the bonus chapter.

I enjoy the story. A little sad but sweet love story. Good reality and background that adds to the story.
