Excellent resource for beginners

As a programmer, I very much appreciate seeing helpful resources for teaching those who are new how to code. This book provides great examples, goes through a wide range of concepts, explains ideas clearly, and the knowledge quizzes are a nice touch! My suggestion is to add some more graphics and perhaps colors in text to help make the code stand out a bit more.

Useful

I’ve always wanted to learn Java and even bought a thick book, thinking that it’d teach me how to do it. Unfortunately, with zero coding experience, that book overwhelmed me. Java for Beginners made learning achievable. What I appreciate most is the accessible and clear language—it feels more like a conversation than a textbook.

A great course

If you’re just starting out or need a refresher, this book explains the building blocks of strong coding. I’m retired now but I miss coding so much. I coded in Visual Basic, SQL, .net, Powerbuilder, and others, but never JAVA. This seems like a great language to start with.

the complete package!

Informational and, when possible, even entertaining! I never thought a book on coding would be able to catch and hold my attention but here we are!
