Quantum Physics For Beginners: A Clear and Concise Guide to Quantum Mechanics and Its Real-World Applications | Demystifying Black Holes, Strings, the Multiverse, and the Theory of Everything
Have you ever wondered how a cat can be both alive and dead at the same time?
Can you imagine a world where particles can communicate instantaneously across vast distances, defying the limitations of space and time?
Did you know that a single particle can exist in multiple states at once, baffling even the brightest minds of our time?
If questions like these have piqued your curiosity about the bizarrely precise yet utterly baffling quantum universe, then look no further. This comprehensive guide promises to be an utterly captivating exploration of nature's deepest layer of reality. Complex theories are meticulously unpacked and brought to life through vivid examples and crystal-clear explanations,
• The origins of quantum theory and revolutionary ideas from pioneers like Planck, Einstein, Bohr and Schrödinger • Foundational quantum mysteries like wave-particle duality, the uncertainty principle, and quantum entanglement • Classic thought experiments from the double-slit experiment to the mind-bending Schrödinger's cat paradox • Speculative modern concepts like quantum immortality, quantum levitation, and quantum tunneling • Potential applications of quantum phenomena in computing, cryptography, and even biological processes • Theoretical frontiers spanning string theory, the multiverse, white holes, wormholes and quantum consciousness
With each chapter, you'll find yourself challenged to relinquish your assumptions about the fundamental nature of reality as strange but verifiable quantum effects take center stage. Particles seemingly defying the bounds of space and time. Objects existing in superposed states simultaneously. An inescapable blurring of the line between the objective and the observed.
By thoroughly demystifying these and other mind-boggling quantum phenomena, this journey through the subatomic realm promises to expand your mind while potentially upending your perception of reality itself.
Can you handle diving down the rabbit hole of the infinitely bizarre yet precisely predictable quantum universe? There's only one way to find out...Scroll Up and Click on the BUY NOW BUTTON!
Explicado de manera sencilla e incluso puedo decir amena, este libro plantea de la manera más sencilla las bases de la física cuántica. Es en realidad "para principiantes" todo esta a un nivel básico.
Quantum Physics is always a fascinating subject. It can permanently alter our perception of reality and calls into question our commonsense beliefs about cause and consequence, determinism, and the objectivity of the cosmos.
“This quantum behavior is critical for the operation of electronic devices such as transistors and lasers, which are foundational to modern technology, including computers and smartphones.” p.65
I listened to the audiobook. There were several "typos", e g. Plank length is 10 to the 35th power meters (should be minus 35th).
There was a ton of redundancy, clearly not a book meant to be read from start to finish.
While a short book, I still think your time would be better spent looking at the table of contents and if a topic looks interesting, check it out at the simple wikipedia https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sim...
I listened to the enthusiastically narrated audiobook for this one and found it very entertaining. Some of the concepts are so bizarre that it might help to be non-scientific while you’re trying to get your head round them. Lots of topics are introduced and referred to as the book progresses and there is a sense throughout the book that our knowledge of the quantum realm is currently only scratching the surface. Recommended.
This one is not a light read. The book seems to be redundant at times but I think its to help wrap your mind around the complex theories presented, this is especially needed as a beginner guide into quantum physics. If you enjoy theoretical physics or even sci-fy, this book is, simply, a mind bender. It contains possible explanations for the unexplainable/unimaginable universe we live in. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The author breaks down theories and explains them in common terms. You must approach these explanations with an open mind and a willingness to understand the complexities of the universe.
My son loves science and it’s really not my subject but he gets all excited about it. This book is explained very well in theories that even I could understand. Quantum Physics is not easy to explain but the author does a great job.
really good read, i know bits about it before but this book uses a lot of metaphors to help explain the concepts making me want to go away and learn more
