The Interim is the in-between. It is our life sitting comfortably, dangerously on the short thin thread that separates birth and death. Arli Pagaduan’s fifth self-published book, I Like It Here in the Interim: Short Stories, is a collection of 20 stories & 20 colored illustrations about life and all that inevitably happens in it.
I have been looking for a lighthearted book to read for a while, so I’m so glad to have found this. It was my first time to read smth like this by a Filipino author and I can’t wait to read more of her work. My favorite chapter has got to be “A Restaurant with Just One Table.” Although my favorite line, “How would you like to live?” is from another chapter. Thanks for sharing such an amazing work! It has made me feel grateful for my stay here in the interim ☺️
