Great buy

Wonderful read at a very low price, really satisfied. Some of you might already know most of these stuff but it'll still be a useful little handbook to always keep handy for review and reference.

If Captain Obvious would write a book on reading comprehension, this would be the one. Oh, I think I have just now accidentally revealed a secret identity of the author... sorry.

Not all advise is generic and obvious. Some is just straight up ridiculous - reading aloud? Seriously?

Simple. Some useful advice.

The book is an easy read. Can be completed in one sitting.
The author breaks read comprehension into a three step process:
-pre-reading
-reading
-post reading
And for each step he gives some useful tips.

**what will you find?**

Ideas like compartmentalize, summarize, diversify, and identify what you're reading and why you're it.

I really liked his SMART technique. So if you want to learn more about reading comprehension in a short amount of time. Check this book out. It'll get you thinking.

This book is well organized and easy to read. There are also a few tips on the book- 'prediction is an essential skill.' and 'don't have a short attention span.' But there are a little that is new to me. The author doesn't show fully how to read systematically yet and only tells the importance to understand one's own Meta-cognition and the style of a author. The reason of this may be he uses only a few examples. It is true that 'to read is to understand' but quantity is important as for reading at the cost of insufficient understanding. I like to look for another materials.
