Commodity Fundamentals provides you with the in-depth insights needed to make commodities trading a profitable, integral component of your overall trading activities. Written by Ronald Spurga, a Vice President of ABN AMRO Bank and longtime veteran of the investment banking wars, this straightforward guide arms you with the information you need to succeed in the highly profitable commodity marketplace-whether you are a trading veteran, a relative newcomer, or anywhere in between.
Very basic primer on hard and soft commodities reciting lots of data, with only the occasional flash of insight. Energy section especially weak: one-sidedly promotes "peak oil" thesis (especially Simmons, who looks like he's going to lose his famous bet on $200 oil this year) with no mention whatsoever of "fracking" when speaking of natural gas supply prospects. Marred, as with many such texts, by a woefully misleading title as well as by the publisher's complete abdication of the editing process. At $50-$100 per slim volume, Wiley (a listed company) should be ashamed of its product. Check this one out of the library if you must.
