The only reason I can come up with for why this series is so good is that the author truly loves their premise. In the afterword for the first volume, Nagawasabi64 said that they wrote it because they missed trapped-in-a-VRMMO-isekai, and apparently that inspired them to do it right. The characters are solid, the worldbuilding is interesting, and there's a good throughline. Clearly, if you're going to do a tapped out genre, you just have to do it better than everyone else.
