Rate this book
This ebook contains Part 3 of Behind the Mask and concludes Volume One of the Horstberg Saga. A full version of Volume One is also available for purchase on Amazon. Buy this product if you read PARTS 1 & 2 (not the full version of Behind the Mask Volume One). This Part 3 is meant to follow those parts and is not a stand-alone. Please DO NOT confuse this product with VOLUME TWO of the Horstberg Saga, which is entitled A Matter of Honor and is the sequel to Behind the Mask full version OR Behind the Mask Parts 1, 2 & 3. (Parts are only temporarily available and will be discontinued soon.) A Matter of Honor should be read AFTER this Part 3 OR after the full $5.99 version. Volume Three of the Hostberg Saga will be released in August 2014.

Abbi has the gift of dreams. But her uncanny ability to see glimpses of the future has no apparent purpose or meaning until a dream leads her to a man on the brink of despair and destruction.

Cameron is a man without a name and without a country, framed for a crime he didn’t commit. Long ago forced into exile and believed dead, the passing of years have defaced him of all hope.

The country of Horstberg suffers beneath the weight of tyranny, and only Cameron holds the secret that could see her ruler undone and restore the people to peace and prosperity. While revolution brews and whispers of treason threaten all that is dear to Abbi, she remains unaware of her own ability to answer a nation’s prayers.

Trusting only her heart and the power of her dreams, Abbi gives all that she has to lead Cameron back into a civilized world, where love is real and freedom comes only in facing what hides behind the mask.

I felt like the length of this saga overall was unnecessary. Aside from the first couple of chapters which tied up the main loose ends, the rest of it was superfluous and unnecessary. The added drama didn't add anything and just detracted from my previous enjoyment of the series. I ended up skipping over chunks of the book just because it couldn't hold my attention and I felt like the author must have given herself some kind of word count quota in order to keep adding these problems and internal struggles that didn't need to be there. Or at least, didn't need to take hundreds of pages to resolve.
