What shifter? What pack? None of that is in this book. Just mentioning here and there does not make this a shifter romance 😅. It read like any contemporary book. The "shifter" part sadly added nothing to the story. So in the end, he was some sort of a loan shark - mafia guy, wanna be alpha man. I'm sorry, but there were so many cringe moments. Especially in his POV. I just can't 🫣.

Their story was not bad, I liked the idea behind how they met and ended up together. But I needed more. What did he do for those 2 years while he waited on her? Why did he choose that exact moment to meet her again and claim his "payment?". And what kind of mafia booker / loan "shark" leaves his laptop, multiple times, unattended on his kitchen island, not being protected with a password!? Please!! Was he celibate in those years? Was he obsessing after her? (That's my expectation, but who knows). Also, she went directly from being inexperienced to sexy and daring "kitten." That was cringe, because what? One moment, she's shy, and the other moment, after a few days, she wants to be bounded. Her personality took a 180-degree change just like that.

Some expressions and used words were too prozy for this type of book. Especially when it was his POV.

I'm sorry, but this was definitely not the book for me since I had expectations to actually read a paranormal romance with shifters, and this was not that.

Ps: he called her "little wolf." That was cute, actually.

This was the 2nd book by this author I tried, and I'm just gonna stop since this one I liked even less than the first one I read.

Part of the Shifter Obsession series each can be read as a standalone series with a sexy shifter and the one who captures his attention. Macy loved her mom so when her mom gets sick with cancer, she doesn’t have enough. She needs the money for meds and has no choice but to go to a loan shark to borrow, knowing she must pay it back afraid for the day to come when he comes to collect. When the day arrives, she is terrified, but he comes with a deal that she can’t refuse. Jett sexy as all get out known as the collector most fear him when he comes, he is there to collect a debt, he has watched the one women that makes his heart beat faster when she came to him for help with her mother since then he has been obsessed with her and the due date has come for him to collect he could care less about the money but he does want her so he offers her a deal one week with him, to be his to do what he says when he says and how he says but will she agree to the deal, is she attracted to him just as much as him, does he really want to collect on her debt, and can they find happiness despite their beginning?

Macy and Jett’s Story . . .

When Macy’s mom has cancer and the medical bills are more than she can deal with, she gets involved with borrowing money from a loan shark. When the loan time is up and Jett arrives to collect, he makes a counter-offer of forgiving the debt entirely if she will spend a week with him so he can get her out of his system. She agrees to the offer. But when the debt is paid off, will she want to let him go? Will he want to try to keep her for himself? Or will the kind of life he lives put them in danger?

Macy’s debt to a loan shark is being called in, but not in a way she ever expected. Jett wanted Macy from the first time she asked for the money to help her family and he gave it to her, knowing she would never be able to pay it back. Lots of steam and sweetness. Jett is a sweetheart underneath the tough guy persona he has to wear in working for his uncle. His uncle and father are truly awful, but he gets Macy and then her family in the end. Love the epilogue.

It's a short story (about 100 pages) about wolf shifters who find their fated mates in a world where fated mated doesn't exist.
Marcy needed money to pay her mother's medical bills and got a loan. Two years later her loan shark comes for the payment but instead of money he wants one week with her.
Because of their chemistry she goes with him and it's instalust and instalove.

A quick and steamy read. This is book three in this series Shifter Obsession. This book is just as good as the previous ones. It can be read as a stand alone, and you will want to read the previous ones. The story flows well, the characters fit well together and have great chemistry. A fun read.

This is another fun addition to the series and I liked following Mia and Jay to their HEA. Well written with good flow, I really liked these characters together - and yes, their chemistry was hot ;P Of course, it was entertaining that neither were looking for love when they made their deal. Lol! I'm really enjoying this series and look forward to diving into the next book :D
