A challenging book, in that it describes a complicated Jewish relationship with Torah, violence, and peace. The most difficult and relevant chapters were on the Holocaust and on the Israel/Palestine question. This last chapter, written a few years prior to the current attempt by Israel to ethnically cleanse the region, is devastating. It is incredibly thorough in its description of the crimes of Israel against the Palestinian people, and crystal clear in the requirement of faithful Jewish people to oppose the atrocities.
