Slappy sets out to see the world encountering people and circumstances along the way and being pushed in here and pulled out there to try to be a "pusson" but ends by learning he's a duck and is better off being himself than trying to be a "person".
Oh my goodness -- my very favorite childhood tale. Slappy learned it was best to be himself and I think that just possibly I learned it right along with him… how many times this one was read to me would be impossible to tell. I still have my cherished copy.
