Have you ever had the feeling that you're treading water professionally; that you're coming up against limits in terms of what you can achieve? If so, says Christian Greiser, it might be high time to take some time out. Careers progress through distinct we climb the career ladder, we change direction or set up a business and, eventually, we retire. As different as these phases are, so too are the rules of success that govern them. If we are to keep succeeding, we must mentally 'shift gears' and realign ourselves accordingly along the way. We must take an honest and sometimes challenging look at our own understanding the inner driving forces behind our previous successes, questioning our patterns of behaviour and discarding the behaviours that no longer serve us. In this way, we can accomplish the transition to the next phase of our life and career and come back stronger than before.
Passionate 'career technician' Christian Greiser is here to help us do just that. In this humorously written new book, he draws on insights from his many years of experience as an executive coach and incorporates research findings, case studies and exercises to show how we can reset our mental attitude and achieve success and fulfilment in the next phase.

I just finished reading "Remove Replace Restart" by Christian Greiser, and I must say, it's a book that truly resonated with my passion for empowerment and personal growth. As someone with a background in business and banking, I've spent a significant part of my career empowering others, and this book speaks to my heart in more ways than one.

Greiser's work delves into the concept of change and transformation, and it's packed with valuable insights on how to navigate life's transitions. What sets it apart is the emphasis on not just adapting but empowering yourself to thrive in the face of change. In my 25 years of banking management and marketing, I've seen the importance of resilience and adaptability firsthand, and this book beautifully reinforces those principles.

As someone who loves to learn and is a devoted book lover, "Remove Replace Restart" felt like a treasure trove of knowledge. It's a wealth of inspiration for personal and professional growth, and the author's approach to empowering readers to embrace change with confidence is a testament to his expertise.

What struck me most is how this book aligns with my desire to help older women remain relevant in their careers. Greiser's insights are a lifeline for anyone seeking to revitalize their professional journey, regardless of age. The book's wisdom can empower women, and anyone, to confront change, make bold transitions, and emerge stronger.

So, if you're looking for a book that not only speaks to your love of learning but also your passion for empowerment, "Remove Replace Restart" is a must-read.

In his book, Remove, Replace, Restart: The Essential Maintenance Manual for Your Engine for Success, Christian Gresier says this: "What are we to do when success turns to a standstill? The answer, simply put, is to let go of precisely those things that made us successful in the past."

Wait, What? As you read on, he explains by using case studies, explanations and exercises so that you can change your career trajectory. This book gives you real life examples of how others have changed their careers and lives.

I received this book as part of a Goodreads giveaway.

Although this book is meant for those who are traversing the corporate world, I did find many helpful tips that I could use in my non-corporate life. I did enjoy the many anecdotes and metaphors the author used to explain his points. It helped to see the same points illustrated in different ways. I do think this would be very helpful for someone in the corporate world trying to figure out next steps for them to take, but I do not consider this book a waste of my time.

Definitely worth reading if you are leadership or executive level. If you are rank and file, this book is not really written with your experiences in mind. But anyone who reads will find something that useful and motivating.
