The Rapture: Imagining the Day that Changes the World Forever

Rate this book
What will it look like on the day Jesus comes in the clouds and catches up His children to Himself?
With the ten short stories in this book, I've imagined various before and after scenarios in the lives of everyday people to help us visualize some of the truths and concepts we see described in Scripture when the Rapture occurs.
According to Scripture, it will begin as a day or evening like any other. Then, God the Father will tell His Son, "It's time. Gather our children and bring them home."
I imagine Jesus will have a big smile on His face as He gathers a group of angels and heads for the clouds. He's been waiting for this moment for a very long time.
While the short stories in this book are fiction with elements of fact woven through them, the other chapters in this book are fact with an occasional bit of personal conjecture which often begins with, "I wonder..." or "I think..."
I write this book, not only to help excite us about the end times in which we live and the promise of His coming, but also to remind each of us that the time for serving the Lord in this world, and winning our family, friends and neighbors to Christ could end at any moment.

I don't know if it's appropriate to review your own book, but here goes -- this is a book that comes from my heart and soul. I wrote this because I want so much to reach the lost to encourage them to salvation, and to the confused and questioning Christian who would like to know more about the rapture and end times. This book has ten short stories that give stories about individual people who experience the day of the rapture in many different ways. We see what they're doing and thinking before the rapture and then their reactions and what they do after the rapture. Some of the stories show people who are saved soaring up to meet Jesus, while many of the stories give us a picture of unsaved people and their situations. These stories are eye-openers and they will touch your heart and give you a clear view of what that day will look like. There are also a number of chapters woven through the book that contain facts about the end times around the rapture - all backed up by Scripture. I hope you will be blessed by the reading of this book - it's God's book, not mine.

Very thought provoking group of well written short stories of people’s lives when the Rapture occurs, or the 2nd coming of Christ as Christians call it, when Christians will be taken up to heaven suddenly.
Some of the stories were upbeat while some were sobering and almost sad. I felt like I learned some things I had never thought of. Even though it is fiction or “imagined”, it could be a prediction of true events in the future.
The author does a great job explaining and describing and I enjoyed the book overall.

This book shares scriptures as well as fictional stories about the rapture and coming end times. I liked the stories from so many different viewpoints about the rapture. The author did a good job of showing the scriptural reference to the rapture and how she developed her conjecture on what would happen.
