I’m theory, I liked this book. It was concise and easy to read, but the story wasn’t as engaging as I had hoped. I was excited when I saw that it was a newberry honor book, but ultimately a bit disappointed in the storyline because I felt like it was hard to connect to the characters. Mostly, the book is very sweet and tender, however.
