After completing her medical training, Dr. Megan McLoren has finally put her harrowing experience at the hands of a conspirator’s evil henchman behind her, and taken a temporary job at a community hospital before beginning a highly sought after research fellowship at a prestigious Boston hospital. When two of her colleagues and closest friends appear to have committed suicide under eerily similar circumstances at different hospitals, her struggle to understand why leads to a conspiracy that has far-reaching harmful consequences. But the future of her own career is threatened when she attempts to obtain proof of the conspiracy’s long trail of avoidable harm.
Another masterpiece by Tony Sclama. I literally could not put this book down and it was a definite page turner. This incredible book is a quick read and kept me on the edge of my seat.
I highly recommend this book for everyone. It is very well written, and the character development is incredible. Avoidable Harm definitely has suspense and brings attention to important issues that are currently happening in the healthcare industry. From whistleblowers to exhausted residents, deception, mental illness, and friendship; everyone can relate to this book in one way or another. Avoidable Harm and Wrongful Acts are two of my all time favorite books. The research and compilation tied with the intricate story development are evident.
