An excellent book for understanding the ETTL infrastructure set up, execution and monitoring processes as far as data is to be extracted from files. Reporting too is handled in detail. After these fundamental aspects of SAP BW are mastered what one would want to do is to extract and transfer data from an ERP (ECC) system to the BW system using "Extractors". Extractors are the heart & soul of the entire BW activity. The chapter on Extractors is over simplified with superficial information and the reader feels let down. Otherwise, it is a good book. ( -2 for lacking depth on Extractors topic. )
