When Captain America is transformed into a werewolf on the front lines of World War II, he'll need the help of the Howling Commandos to take down a band of Nazi cultists who intend to use supernatural forces to turn the tide of battle. But can Cap control the skeptical, jaded Commandos when he can barely control himself?
3.5 rounded up. I loved Capwolf in 2022's Marvel Chillers, so I was really excited about this title. But it's weird reading about the Commandos being so hostile to Cap, and I'm not sure how I feel about the sort of... Mythologizing of the Nazis' dumb mysticism by making it "real." Still, I'm hoping (perhaps in vain) that Bucky will show up in the next issue as their "lucky ally."
Man... This has the potential to really reel me in, but it sure missed the mark. I found it quite boring. Especially since they are trying to set up a story here. They didn't wow me or really dig their teeth in with this story or art. :/
