Awesome book! Great patterns and has good visual instructions and examples to help "see" how to knit projects. It is a bit technical tho, so new learners and just overall dumbasses like myself might have a hard time fully grasping some of the concepts; still gotta learn the lingo, I guess... I do wish there were more pictures tho to help visual learners like myself see the projects midstep to make sure we're actually doing it right when starting the first few lines of our project, but I really can't complain too much tho. I'll definitely be downloading and reading this book again when my kindle shelf isn't so dammed full and when I've finally completed all of my other half finished projects. Lol One thing I'm truly disappointed about with this book tho, is that it doesn't show you how to do multicolored scarfs or exactly how you switch back and forth between multiple colored skeins of yarn to get a cool striped effect, or some other variant using multiple colors of yarn. I'm quite the pansy when it comes to projects, more precisely when it involves actually having to cut the yarn, it's all so.. final. I change my mind ALOT and have no qualms about getting halfway thru a project just to unravel it all and start it over again. With hats it's easy to hide wandering threads, but not so with a scarf. I was HOPING there'd be some mystical secret as to how I could hide the yarn tail inside the scarfs edge until I'm ready to swap colors again, but alas I have yet to find that philosopher's knitting stone of wisdom. lol. Maybe I'm too much of a dreamer and it simply can't be done, but I was really hoping this book could help me out with that dilemma. Oh well... I can't fault the author for my own shortcomings or lack of knowledge. I WILL find the answer to this question one day tho, sadly it just won't be here contained in between the pages of this great book. And to the author: If you decide to make another one of these books, don't be shy about adding more pictures to fully demonstrate your meaning step by step. I found myself a little confused when you were showing the steps to cast on the first row, and when it came to that danmed perl stitch. lol. It's like you were missing the last finishing ta-da movement, only to have the next picture be a fully completed row, and me sitting there with my face all twisted in confusion like "wait, what?!". These minute details are easy to over look when it all comes second nature to you, but for so many beginners like myself it always feels so clunky and awkward to attempt, and there's no one else there to look at our work and ask if we did it right. Just keep that in mind for next time, ok? Thank you for being kind enough to share your knowledge with the rest of the world. We really do need more people like you to help show us the way. I really did learn alot from this book and it's all because of you! Thank you so much! Keep up the good work!
