I have read and enjoyed several of Lynn Slaughter's mysteries, and just recently discovered that she has written a non-fiction book, Teen Rape. It's hard to read about the lives ruined because of rape, but we must all be aware that we have to help eliminate this problem. The author discusses causes, risk factors, the impact of, recovery from, intervention and prevention of rape. Every individual and every group must work toward gender equality. This is a good start toward creating a society that would no longer threaten any man or woman, or any teen with rape and its aftermath. This well-written book is beneficial toward that goal.
