I had just begun my career in IT industry. With money, I had all sorts of reservations. I wanted the best for myself. I wanted financial freedom right from the start. However dedicated this looks like, I wasn't a bit in the right track. To begin with, I didn't even know what's financial freedom. How can one achieve something if he/she does know anything about what he really wants to achieve?

That's where this book comes in.

This book put me thinking in the right direction. Each chapter was an eye opener. I had read many financial books by foreign authors. But reading this one (by Indian author) gave me actionable insights. It boosted my knowledge and served as an excellent guide.

If you're ever out in the wealth forest, do keep this book handy. It might turn out to be a good map!

It is a great book for financial amateurs and people who are just starting to organize their financial activities. Quality content in a very simple language along with real life problems and their solutions with calculations makes this book a must read for beginners.
Manish's way of writing is as if he was directly explaining the facts to you face-to-face and hence prevents you from drifting off and holds you till the end.
To sum it up, this book WILL make you your own financial planner in 10 steps !

Mind Blowing Book of This year of Mine

“Splendid”

This is the word , when I read out last page of this book. Reader like me can utter such words for very few financial books due to terminology of commerce world. But for me this book is a “Must Read for every Indian and others”. This book (as subjected) is about personnel financing planning introduction by writer (Manish Chauhan is financial adviser in Jago Invester firm and blogger of financial issue. he is having rich experience in financing).

I strongly recommend that book to all people, specifically middle class Indians. This Book is really Alarm to Middle class Indians for their financial life. Indians has genrally very lazy approach for their financial life. This book will teach you to readjust your financial life is 10 major steps.

As I said, if you miss this kind of book in your early age. actually you miss a lot in your life.

Things I like Most

•Manish has managed the pace in his writing like any other professional writer. he has also successful with his stories and example to jog people from state of inactiveness about their financial life.
•Manish has given each chapter a special value after adding a table at the end of each chapter. which help people to do some mental calculation according to their lifestyle.
•Manish also has explained many things in brief for non financial people like Mutual Funds, Importance of Will, Importance of health insurance and retirements.
•Manish given a theorize idea about the financial loop holes of every common Indian or may be any person under devolving country.

Things I hate

•He need to write more pages with more formulas or situation.
•I hate a chapter where he tried to help people how they can set their goals. but that table was so confusing for people like me who has dead brain in finance.

This book gives you a wake up call. Its really useful book in case you are not one of those people who have their financial plans in place. It gives us insights on many basic things like life insurance, retirement planning, investing etc. It also clears our misconceptions that we have about various financial products (Eg: We mostly opt for endowment plans for life insurance but this books explains why we should not go for endowment plans and opt for term insurance.). This is an eye opener book and must read for all the age-groups.

If you ignore the talking-down tone, the book does justice to it's name. There's a core template of financial planning steps that the average middle-class Indian tends to ignore or pay lip-service to. This book helps you to focus on each step or aspect of your financial life, from estate planning to emergency funds and investments. Worth your while.
