It read like the meanderings of drunk, or maybe someone senile.
I had looked forward to an actual explanation of revelations. The only parts that made any sense were the actual quotations from the book of revelations. Since this book explained nothing and just made everything more confusing. The author seemed to have an agenda, the cutting down of all Catholic, Orthodox, reformation sects ,Roman government plus many other others. Albeit, I only read about 60% , it appears the author feels the primary purpose is to shutdown all Catholic/TX. Christian religions and all early governments yet not providing any alternatives to find support for believer. This was so difficult to read, and provided no actual explanation.
Very bad theology. This book is not Christian it is a non literal false explanation that denies the literal words written. I can not recommended this book.
Like Revelation itself, the content in the first portion of this book was insightful and enlightening to Christian Churches of the past and present. Throughout, Smith provides the reader with a thorough history of Christianity with an overt anti-Roman Catholic slant, making the case that the Roman Catholic Church and the Pope are the servants of Satan. Without the blatant intent to disparage the Roman Catholic Church, the book would rate 5 stars. Alas, such a prejudicial book loses validity and ranking.
