Elora Carmen Shore was born in Hannibal, Missouri, where the Mississippi River runs through and statues of Mark Twain stand in little parks and walkways. She grew up farther south. Elora began writing at the age of eight, beginning with poems before also moving on to novels and short stories. She has been published in Vox Poetica, GGN, Moon Drenched Fables, Moon Washed Kisses, Grey Sparrow Journal, and other places. Eloise, short story psychological thriller is available on Amazon Kindle, alongside an early draft of her first Alexis book. Currently she is working on her eternally "not done" fantasy trilogy, and her first try at a women's comedy/self journey novel. Her inspiration is in the every day, what you can find outside your door—and what you can discover looking within.
I liked this book from the moment I looked at the cover and started paging. It is a good representation of what is to come - a journey and thoughts sparked by nature and the surroundings.
The author's vivid observations lead to questions of existence and introspection which many of us can relate to. The poems are autobiographical in nature, allowing the reader to step into the writer's world and understand life from her perspective. The feeling you get is along the lines of "Ah, I am not alone." The message is that we are all related and nature is the basis for all life.
My favourite poems included: Falling Into My Dreams I'm Just a Little Girl Don't Worry About It Give Me A Tale Alien Many Souls In One The Mirror Time Is Like A Tree Tears From Bleeding Dreams
Having so many favourites is an indicator of the quality of the work. I'm very picky with my selections so I can honestly say that the book was well done.
