My First Book of Numbers

Rate this book
My First Book of Numbers is a cheerful way to introduce toddlers to the numbers 1 to 12. Each page features three elements: the printed number, the object or animal, and the description in large letters:

one fluffy chick two striped socks three eggs in a nest four wooden cars five rubber ducks six toy soldiers seven Russian dolls eight shiny balloons nine tasty apples ten twinkling stars eleven bright buttons twelve bunny rabbits.
The brightly illustrated, sturdy board books in the My First Book... series (My First Book of Animals, My First Book of Colors, My First Book of Numbers) are designed for the youngest toddlers who are exploring the world from their most comfortable seat -- the floor. Young children can easily open and turn the board pages and then discover that the pages unfold accordion-style into a 42-inch long display. Each book features 12 engaging color photographs in a clutter-free design, making identification easy for a toddler.

The selected items were fine, the bright, varied color backgrounds were good. The fold out was a bit awkward. The book opens to 1 and 8, and flipping through like a typical board book is awkward. Book counts to 12.
