Gads, this is why people make fun of Christian home school materials. Some excerpts:

P13 #3:
"The Halsey family recently bought school clothes for their nine children. If they spend an average of $167 per child, how much did they spend to the nearest ten dollars?"

P16 #3:
"The Bible says that Lamech, the father of Noah, lived 777 years. Write 777 using Roman numerals."

P32 #26:
"Mrs. Barkely exclaimed that she must have spent one million dollars on school clothes and shoes. Actually she spent an average of $268 on each of her seven children. How much less than a million dollars did she spend?"

P82 #2:
"New Hope Baptist Church had a special offering to pay for new song books which cost $2,050. They received 75% of the money in the offering. How much money did they receive?"

P133 #1:
"The Bible tells us that two sparrows are worth one farthing. Find the cost in cents for 238 sparrows."

P152 #3.
"Use a pen to complete the checks on page 153 using this information.
Robert Patterson wrote a check for $87.95 on October 26 of this year to Faith Baptist Church. He paid the family's tithe for the week."
