Ash. If you're seeing this I'm sorry, you're the only one i can trust. With my story. The truth is I've failed you. I've failed everyone I've brought in here. But with a little bit of help. I think we--I think we can set things right. But first we need t--

I have been mightily impressed by comiXology and their run of exclusive series with Scott Snyder. I have enjoyed Clear (Comixology Originals) #1, Night of the Ghoul (comiXology Originals) #1, Canary (Comixology Originals) #1, and We Have Demons (comiXology Originals) #1 and I am currently reading more.

However, I felt I should branch out and try something different. This caught my eye as it is right on topic for me with simulation being an area of interest. The premise seems simple enough, a dystopian future where the rich can escape to the metaverse and the rest have to survive on a broken planet.

When a degenerate gambler, Ash, is offered a way into nu-life, she thinks her luck has finally changed. However, she is soon landed with a mysterious secret as her ex hands her encrypted data; the secret to the metaverse. As he is being 'unplugged' (think the Matrix) he uses his final breath to tell Ash to seek out an ally who may be the only person she can trust. The trouble is, the powers behind Nu-Life are hot on the trail!

The artwork is growing on me and the story so far has left me intrigued as to where it is going. It feels somewhere between The Matrix and Tron so far, but we'll see if it can deliver its own stamp. 4 stars.

Aus der Idee wurde für mein Empfinden zu wenig gemacht. Ash ist sehr verschlossen, was es mir zusätzlich schwer gemacht hat, in die Story zu finden.

Fast paced

Reading and loving this. The story is easy to follow. Recommend

They already let us peek behind the curtain. That was disappointingly early. I hope the story recovers.
