As I began preparing for the PMP exam and discussing project certification with my coworkers, I was reminded that I had a Project+ book floating around. Decided to dust it off and take a look (turns out I have the updated one too) and worked through the pages. It is certainly in line with the PMI/PMP curriculum and I may take the Project+ as a "warm up" depending on scheduling availability. I like that it is focused more on the IT side of things as PMP is meant to be generic and a lot of the discussion roams to other larger project domains such as construction projects. The practice tests are challenging enough to hone up the skills and I think that it would behoove anyone in the IT industry to brush up on this material regardless of their role as project member, lead or manager.
