"The Long Hard Road" begins here! In an all-new adventure from Joe Dredd's early days as a Mega City-One Judge, writer (and Eagle-award-winning 2000 AD Editor) Matt Smith presents a tale where "all the young juves, carry the news," only in this case, the news is delivered with a lethal blow!
Librarian Note: There are more than one author in the Goodreads database with this name.
Matt Smith worked for publisher Pan Macmillan as a desk editor before becoming Assistant Editor on 2000 AD, Britain's award-winning weekly SF anthology title - a comic he had read religiously for the previous fifteen years. He has been editor of the galaxy's greatest comic since 2002, and lives in Oxford.
I first fell in love with Judge Dredd back in the day when he was the star of the British comic anthology 2000AD. Since than the good Judge has been on a long and strange trip. But this comic series seems to have got it right and has returned Judge Dredd back to his 2000ad roots. Matt Smith has written Dredd as he should be. A cold, authoritative dispenser of justice in a grossly overpopulated crime ridden city. And Mega-city one had never looked better with massive high-rises reaching high into the sky with crazy, cramped living conditions. The influence of 2000AD is obvious for all to see - and now in living color. As a lover of the original Judge Dredd series form long ago I was delighted to see him back were he belongs and eagerly awaited the next installment.
Vistazo al comienzo de Dredd como juez en Megacity en pleno estallido de actividad psíquica por jóvenes que no han demostrado jamas tener semejantes capacidades. Me ha gustado bastante.
