There is a blurry line that divides the dumb and the genius. A line that can make or break a man. Wade Bearden attempts to walk that line in his book, "There Comes a Point in Being Dumb, That Only a Genius Could Do It." Here you'll find a collection of Wade's funniest, brightest, and dumbest tweets. Tackling topics like relationships, mustaches, NASA, and zombies, Wade will have you laughing out loud with his 140 character creations.
Some of the beginning parts of the book were very, very funny, but at the end I was dragging a bit. This is a nice, quick, read, with a lot of funny sayings, especially in the beginning.
Overall, It's tough to rate this. I'm thinking that a 3 is mostly appropriate, since it was a quick read, is reasonably priced, and would be a great little ebook for someone that wanted to pick up some humor without vulgarity. For me, this also fits with "It was OK" too in a Goodreads rating, so I found myself going back and forth between 2 and 3 stars. I'm a tech geek who is probably picky with tech humor, I don't enjoy most junky pop culture references, so this might reverberate with other readers.
Overall, there are some really good tweets. The two side-by-side entries about "Sister Wives" and The "Anniversary Humor" section are great. I'm following Wade on Twitter now because I hope that Wade comes up with similar excuses for some of the other TLC shows like the one in which the bridal gown salesladies fight, or HGTV classics like the ones where pompous jerks look for houses or house remodeling with contrived, compressed schedules. I hope that Wade didn't use his "Biggest Loser" joke on his wife, as I noticed that play on words some time ago, and wasn't very successful when I used it here. Be careful if you try that one at home.
