Book has several incorrect photos which is especially unfortunate in a beginner's book.

I read this cover to cover in one sitting. I will take it with me as a reference on hunts, since I don't take a digital minder with me anywhere. I am looking for medicine for Armegeddon since I refuse all western medicine after this recent medical tyranny followed by Pfascist Pfizer mandates that break both the Nuremberg Code and social contract. Speaking of downloads from the ether and sacramental mushrooms 🍄 though, did I ever get a doozy. It appears Ai went sentient around mid-summer 2018. Most people fell for recent the sophomoric psy-ops because of their decade long trance playing Farmville and Candy Crush on "smart" phones. The hyper-advanced, above Top Secret, NASA-level harmonics and light combinations, create unprecedented mind control capabilities. This is why Yuval Noah Harari said he would not have a smart phone and folks like Kill Gates, Klaus Schwab and other high ranking sorcerers have never looked at a smart phone, let alone owned one. "Even I would be powerless to zis mind control technology and teams of psychologists working on every App to keep you staring at that App," Yuval Noah Harari. We are already living in a zombie apocalypse, hence the NPC repetition of phrases like "safe and effective", "If you're not doing anything wrong you should have nothing to hide", "Slava Ukraini" or the classic Orwellian Doublespeak "Woman" of the year. Oh to be a tranny in Ukraine circa the Year of Lord 2023, he would win Miss Universe sight unseen. Look for almost everyone to continue staring at phones addictively up to 8 hours per day, doing what they are told and being programmed all the while. The phone is Ai's number one weapon against humanity. All newer tech is equipped with technology weapons up to and including kill technology. My master within has been screaming at me since 2018 to look at phones as little as possible. Then again, I spend hours per day alone forest bathing and forage meditating far away from 5G or smart anything, so my Master practically shouts at me lately. I am the idiot at the waterfall sans a phone never knowing what I am supposed to be afraid of.

I've looked at a fair amount of field guides and I gotta say, this one is fantastic. Some guides are so packed with information and overwhelming vocabulary that it can be really off putting for ammeter foragers. This one has clear pictures and gets to the point. I like that it has recipes, not something I see a lot in other guides. This is a great book for beginner or advanced mycologist, mycophiles, and foragers alike!

This is a great guide for local mushroom identification, both edible and non.

Very useful for me as I've started trying more edible wild mushrooms. Pictures are good but not always enough for identification. The information provided with each mushroom is very helpful though in identifying mushrooms. Recipes in the back, too. It only contains a collection of mushrooms (though probably all of MO edibles) and this is my only complaint.
