This gem of a book presents us with the content of talks given by Swami Chivilasananda during the 1994 Christmas retreat at the Siddha Yoga Ashram in South Fallsburg, New York. Chapters on the Sadhana of Joy, the Sadhana of Peace and the Sadhana of Love reflect the themes of the season and the book includes a guide to Sanskrit pronunciation and a detailed glossary at the back. Her words are inspiring and stay with you and their message is timeless. It is a book to treasure and dip in and out of whenever we need to remind ourselves of the inner treasures that are always there.

This book was a terrific book. It is a book that was a series of three speeches given by the author, Swami Chidvilasananda, which was put into text form. She talks about practices of joy, peace, and love. All of which we try to overcome daily. She talks about the intense labor it takes to overcome these worldly issues that face us all. This book is very inspiring to open our true Inner Self, and let true reality be our focus. The reality of the Joy, Peace, and Love that is in our Inner Self. This book is about getting rid of duality, and annihilating the feeling of 'I' and 'mien,' for which everything is this world is us, and ours. This is probably one of my favorite books and is very deep, as you can tell just by reading my summary. I suggest it to anyone who has a an open mind, especially to deep thought.
